Why is it that time drags when you are anxious to leave on a trip and when you do not want to leave to go somewhere the time flies?
I leave for New Zealand on the 28th---just four more days, but the time has been draaaging. I am ready to go right now but am booked for the 28th.
Unlike prior years where we lived in Christchurch we will this time be spending our time on the north of the South Island, between Mapua & Nelson. This area claims to have more sunny days than any place else in NZ. It's a fun area, very artsy crafty with great wineries, super beaches and golf courses. We'll be back in California in early May.

Beautiful picture, and understand why you can't wait to get there. But, that is always the way, something that you have planned for & anticipating always seems to go by the slowest. Gee, sounds like a middle-class problem to me. :wah::wah: Enjoy though once you get there!!

Emotion? Or you could be bragging :wah: (though that would fall under emotion too)?

The short answer is I just don't know Lon. I don't think any of us do. I think we just have to accept this conundrum as one of life's great mystery's.
It very well may be we aren't supposed to know or perhaps its an enigma we must learn as civilization evolves in the future.
Its possible the truth will be unveiled in some distant cataclysmic event by an advanced omnipotent society galaxies beyond our own that transcend our primitive understanding of that which we now wallow in.
Its a great question Lon. It lets me know your a thinker, that you long to envisage a realm beyond our current limitations. You are a seeker of truths, a man willing to break invisible barriers in order to search out that which confines us presently to only wistful musing.
Your deliberate passion and thirst is to be regarded with sanctity and let it be an inspiration to all of mankind. From the jungles of the Amazon to the majestic peaks of Tibet, from the splendor of the great western plains of North America to Burma and beyond, we are indebted to your sacrifice, your quest for the knowledge that drives humankind's spirit.
I think I speak for all the peoples of the world when I say thank you Lon. Thank you and may God bless you a thousand times over.
