My feeling is if it works then good for me but if not at least I tried. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" kind of approach is how I'm looking at it. I've now got 4 mouth ulcers ! grrrrrrrrrrrrr....... and a sore throat - I'm hoping that it isn't ulcerated !!!! another grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I've got some special paste type medication to put on the ulcers, but there is no point doing it during the day, as it is a waste when I'm slurping fluids and eating food. I will attack the little buggers tonight when I go to bed ! I do have these damn ulcers from time to time and that paste works a treat, and usually they're sorted in one night, two at the most!

Now about this muttering, Jazzy..................... This thread is entitled 'Gill's talk and mutter hut', so you are perfectly entitled to mutter to your heart's content ! So I'll hear no more about it !!!! ;) :-6

Yeh yeh, I'm old and forgetful :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl Thanks for asking ;) :-6

morning everyone,

another bright day here but the bitterly cold wind is enough to cut your ears off !! im begining to have doubts about having the dog clipped right now cos despite being a " working " breed of dog, hes an indoor pampered pooch  :o and im worried he might feel the cold and he is getting on a bit now................

sorry yer not well gill, nothing worse than mouth ulcers :( i had a very effective mouthwash from the doc and they were gone in 24hrs................

jazzy, i hope your new venture is a sucess for you.......... i always wanted to have greenhouses and grow plants to sell but now im afraid age and lack of space prevents it !!!

hi odie, hope things are ok with you too............

its only 7-45am and im trying very hard to ignore the above mentioned dog, thats the only trouble with these lighter mornings, he feels the need to be out and about where asi certainly dont.............:-5

Hello Helen! I dang near peed my pants reading this :yh_rotfl Thank you for wishing me well with my new business.

Hello Gill! Hope your mouth is better. I hate those ulcers as they hurt so bad. I get them only if I eat things with a high acid content (like tomatoes). I love tomatoes but have to be careful now not to eat too many.

Hello Odie! Hope you are able to find a job soon. It's hard with the current economy since so many people are out of work.

The weather here by me has been sunny and warm. The snow has been melting and causing minor flooding but I'd rather have that than any more snow. I'm sick of snow and the cold weather. :(

that's to funny Helen!

When he gets groomed do they not dry his fur before he goes back out, they most certainly do there.

poor puppy, you don't want him out in the freezing cold!

Gill will be here later, she's gone to the store to buy some cream.:sneaky:

It's been sunny and mild here, next 5 days is rain.

Odie gets very cranky when it rains.:lips:

Hi everybody! Jazzy, Helen, Odie, Hope, hope you are all OK ! Hey Hope, glad you could type a couple of words here ! just joking, honest guv ! It's good to see you on FG again, so please call in more often, and perhaps fill us in on what's been happening in your neck of the woods lately ! We do allow a couple of paragraphs of typing - well at least I do :wah: You can also let us know which forum you've gone to, or not (so we can come and spy on you :yh_rotfl).

My mouth is more or less clear of ulcers, and my sore throat has gone, thank goodness - I can eat things more comfortably :wah:

Helen, I hope your dear pooch is not poorly! I suppose it could be that he's taken the hump cos he's had his fur coat taken off - dogs can get miffed at that sort of thing! I remember our first dog 'Freddy', yes he was called Fred (my mum picked the name, cos she said he looked a 'Fred' :wah:). He was so like a bearded collie, only he was a Heinz 57 (or 'I'll have to ask me mum') dog. He was such a gorgeous looking fluffy, long haired mut - honey coloured all over. For a couple of years when we first had him, he would love sneaking out of our garden (there was no fence at the front) and slinking off to the pub along the road, going round the back, and rolling in the horse sh!t near their stables! Of course with him having long hair, he'd come back home stinking, and we knew exactly where he'd been ! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. That dog had more baths in his first 2 years than all the rest of his days ! :yh_rotfl He lived to be 16 years old!

Actually, Fred was very good at staying in our garden - it's just that if the mood took him, he would slope off and roll in the nearest manure! We lived in a country village for the first 16 years of our married life, and Fred loved it !

Well, now I must get on with me chores, so I'll get back later............... :-6 :D

when they had his dad put to sleep ( at 11yrs old ) the vet said that was bordering on geriatric for a springer................ but my wally has been far better looked after than his dad ever was, im afraid he was just fed and shoved outside most of the time and hardly ever walked and im sad to say they mostly ignored his health probs to save THEMSELVES the upset of having him put down........... i took him in the end :-1:-1

Good morning everyone :-6 It's a beautiful morning here and I just came back from taking Midnight for a nice long ride. We found another pond on my property which I never knew was there. That makes three ponds so far. This new pond is deep on the woods on my property and the water is crystal clear. I may have just found myself a nice swimming spot when the weather gets nice and warm. Midnight and I have been asked to ride in the local St. Patrick's Day parade and I'm very excited about that. I have to find him a nice green riding blanket. :guitarist

Helen: I hope you and your dog are feeling better. Right now I have a nasty sinus infection and my head is pounding :-5

Hope: It's great to see you back and posting. I hope all is well with you and yours.

Odie: Any luck finding a job yet?

Gill: How's your mouth? :lips:

Talk to you all later and hope all of you have a good day! :-4

I would love to see pics of you and Midnight in the parade so take your camera.

We used to have 3 huge ponds in a wooded area when I was a kid, millions of white and red trilluims which is Ontario's flower, and tons of tadpoles every spring, I would bring some home and watch them grow into frogs in a huge tank that I had with water from the pond, sand and rocks to climb on when they grew into froggies. The size of the frogs were only a quarter.

Helen, wishing you and puppy get better soon.:-4

Oh AFTR, thank you ! I love the Beatles ! I had the privilege of going to see them once.............................see them, but didn't hear much of them because of the terrific piercing screaming, then somebody asked me to shut up !!!!!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Hello Gill :guitarist What a busy and nasty night I had last night. Stupid people trying to drive on 3 inches of ice on the roads  Cars in ditches and cars flipped over all night long. Wouldn't you think people would be smarter than this? :-5 Even the ambulance slid trying to get to a call. Geez Louise, what a night and I'm tired now :wah:

Hi Jazzy! Yes stupid people put a strain on the emergency services, but it seems that that will never change, not while people are so damn selfish and thoughtless for others' safety. Do you drive the ambulance, or are you the paramedic? In the UK, each of the ambulance team drive and also both are paramedics.

I should get your head down for some rest Mrs. :-6

I'm a paramedic and do not drive the ambulance. The hospital where I work train security guards to drive the ambulances. I used to have three crew members with me (all paramedics) but with the economy, they cut us down to only two of us responding to a scene. :( I run a business during the day so I cannot sleep even though I wish I could right now :wah: Seriously, I get my "second wind" after I have a pot of coffee. BTW, where's the coffee in here? :-5

Coffee's on the stove, help yourself, and there's some brownies in the blue tin on the side table :D

Ere Jazzy, don't burn yourself out Mrs. or make yourself ill, doing too much with little sleep. You've got to be on your toes as a paramedic! Just rest up whenever you can. There's also Midnight to attend to. Gawd, you need a 40 hour day  :(
