Killer driver serves 21 months in jail!
Superior Court Justice Bruce Durno sentenced Steve Machado, 25, to 22 1/2-months jail and prohibited him from driving for 10 years. Durno credited the man with 1 1/2 months for seven days pre-trial custody and for his restrictive bail conditions.
Durno previously ruled that while Machado was speeding and driving “aggressively in tandem and tailgating with his brother Brian, who is charged with the same offences and is awaiting trial, they were not racing before the horrific crash, involving seven vehicles on Hwy. 50 on Oct. 6, 2007.
Is this Durno crazy? I agree with a statement made by a friend of one of the victims: “We have a legal system, friend Barb McCarthy said, “not a justice system. There is no justice here.

There was no justice served in my opinion nor of the victims families.
I hate Canadian laws!

So do I....with a passion!
The man that killed my wife on his THIRD drunk driving, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, a $1000.00 fine, and DID NOT even lose his license. Sentenced in St Catherines, Ontario Canada.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
90 days somehow just doesn't seem right, not in Canada for DUI.
and welcome to the garden.:-6
