Just a reminder that Day Light Saving's Time begins tomorrow. I have to remember to set my clocks ahead an hour before bed tonight. Amazing how many clocks I have to change which I never notice half of them until I have to set them all :wah: For some reason every time we have to change the clocks back or ahead, it takes me days to get used to the time change

I wish they would just leave things alone. But, clocks are not all that important in my life anymore. Nowhere to go, nothing to do, all day every day. I eat and sleep when I choose. I love retirement.:-4

I only have the microwave and a small antique clock that runs on batteries, oh yeah, my kitchen clock that has a ship on it, my entire kitchen theme is nautical, oh yes, then there is my car, everything else, cable box, computer changes itself, oh yeah then my radio alarm clock in my bedroom, best I get started!:wah:

Day Light Saving's Time
Our DVD player can blink either "error" or "12:00" on regular time or daylight time... no problem.
The clock on the radio in my van is so complicated to change that there's been years when I didn't bother. You literally have to push three different buttons simultaneously for exact-(daminit)-ly three seconds to get it to change. Then push the one button for one thing and the other for something else, and "he who hesitates, starts over" and it is just as likely you'll change the radio station instead of the time.
My watch has a dead battery and hasn't been out of the drawer by the phone in the kitchen in two years.
My old laptop will get all pissed off and have to be changed in safe mode. My computer at work will check with the server and show an error message because the yoyo support staff will reset the server to 12 hours instead of 24. (have you ever heard the phrase "they'll do it every time"?)
The clock on the stove in our kitchen doesn't work any more, a couple of the LEDs burned out... and I'm not buying a new stove to replace the clock.
The only one I'm worried about is my alarm clock, but I've found the best way to change it is to unplug it, then reset it after the fact.
And I've already bought the new batteries for the smoke detectors, that's on the list of things to do tomorrow.

We've got all this 'fun' to come at the end of the month, in the UK.
There are 3 watches, one clock in the sitting room, one video recorder, the PC's change themselves (I think :-3). I've mislaid the destruction book for the central heating boiler timer, so I'm hoping that will change itself There are 2 clocks in the kitchen, as well as the cooker timer clock, and the microwave. There's a clock in my son's bedroom (alarm clock), and there is a clock in our bedroom also a radio alarm. Then there's the car clock to change.
I leave most of the indoor clocks for my hubby to do (keeps him out of mischief for a while :wah:) and I deal with the car clock (as I know how to do it :wah: )
There is a clock museum near to Southwell in our county (a few miles from where I live actually), and I think they have to start altering all there clocks (many of them are in full working order), the day before. Gawd it must be noisy in there with all that ticking, and gawd knows what it's like on the hour, with all the chiming clocks they have ! I think if I ever visit that museum, I shall time my visit for 5 minutes after the hour ! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I only really worry about two- my wristwatch and the National Geographic bird clock, which has different birds that chirp out the hour, but it hasn't worked right since my daughter gave it to me years ago. It will have Screech Owls screeching when it should be Whooping Cranes whooping or Bluebirds chirping. I'll get around to all the other clocks sooner or later.

You can buy them--go to National Geographic's site. I'm sure you could find it there.

Correction: Odie, the clock isn't a Nat'l Geo at all! It says Discovery Channel on it, as I discovered when I tried to set the thing. I looked at both sites and couldn't find bird clocks or frog clocks. I did find an Audubon bird clock, which is very similar--$24.95. You could probably find either clock on e-Bay at a cheaper price.

BF was late for work by an hour (he starts at 4am)
I got woke up blessedly by my blackberry alarm and had to call Jr Minks and wake her up and amazingly we got her to work on time.
doubly funny cause Jr Minks is the one who everyone expects to forget and the BF never forgets.
