Muskoka a 2 hour drive from here, covered in woodlands, rivers and ponds.

Log cottage and of course a long dock to fish off of at 6am, just me and my coffee, and of course my bass boat.

Maybe a two-room apartment in the Haight, that would suit me.

Why not a horse instead, hoppy? A big horse. With a saddle.

Sweety, you'd need a hell of alot of smoke or bug spray trust me! :yh_wink :yh_kiss

If it weren't for hurricanes I'd want to live in Key West Florida!

If it weren't for earthquakes I'd love to live in California!

I'd LOVE to live in Ireland if it didn't rain so much!

Ohio suites me! :yh_wink :yh_kiss

Because you cant hang a gun rack from the back window of a horse and you spill beer all over the place when the horsey gallops.

Even though the winters are brutal here where I am, I have found my "paradise" and would never move. I had a custom log home built on 23 acres in the woods. I have no neighbors for miles and not that I'm unsociable but I love the peace a quiet here. The only sounds come from the birds and wildlife. I have discovered three ponds on my property and one large enough to swim in.

I have been to a lot of places that I really love.

If I had to pick a place that I must stay the rest of my life, and never leave, It would be between the Florida Keys, the Teton region of Wyoming/Idaho, or the Smoky Mountains, or Southwestern Colorado.

But really, I prefer a nice comfy motor home that I can pack up and go explore all the places I haven't been yet.

Me too. I live in a perfect place. Rugged Rockies to the North, beautiful Monument valley and desert to the South, rivers and lakes, 265 days of sunshine, 5500 feet so it's never too hot or cold, four clear seasons, no crime, few people. No hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanos, flooding, blizzards, ...not even mosquitos!

I can drive five minutes from my house and be in the boonies, or I can drive five seconds the other way and be at Walmart.

The best of both worlds!

I do like your neighborhood.

We have a granddaughter that lives near Durango. I always enjoy visiting that region.

Yeah well the ones around Tennessee are innately annoying and they don't team up together like most skeeters. These skeeters come one at a time kamikaze style and manage to wait until other skeeters have finished their meal as if each had some sort of deep seated grudge against people.
