Well we all know mine after I've driven you mad with It but I'm Interested In what Sport Is your Passion and Why?

How and what age were you when you found that Sport?

I started my Passion for National Hunt Horse Racing I suppose being taken along to race meetings by my father at a very early age. I can remember the thrilling atmosphere on a course as the Favourite came home even as far back as when I was 4 years old.

YouTube - Kauto Star v Denman

There Is no amount of money that I would not pay to watch the above... How about you?

Bass fishing in the summer. Squirrel hunting in the fall. Rabbit, quail and pheasant in the winter. Why? Because the men that helped raise me did that. And, I loved the exercise and good eating.:)

No particular sport comes to mind for participation, anymore.

a few torn tendons have put an end to rugby and football.

I guess you don't see many old rugby players for a reason.

Took up golf about 3 years ago, and broke 100 last year, so now I look forward to this season being one that I enjoy.

I wanted to go to the superbowl this year to watch my Saints finally get the trophy. What a long strange trip that has been.

However, since I still have to work for a living, I found myself watching that game, from a hotel in Toronto.

So, after that, lest my golfing skills were to improve enough to get me a spot in the Masters, I don't foresee ever getting to the "to die for" enthusiasm for a sport.
The home of the soul is the Open Road.

I'm very embarrassed to say that I don't like sports and have never, ever had any interest:o. I honestly don't know why I'm so disinterested:confused: I don't even watch sports on tv with the exception of tennis and skiing once in a blue moon.

I come from a family of fanatics about sports especially baseball, tennis, golf and football.....not me:rolleyes:.....I'd rather be out walking along the beach.

We have a family golf tournament every summer. I just go for the dinners and family time.

When awards we being handed out at the dinner, I heard my name being called for an award for the 'longest drive'.....WHAT???HUH????says everyone:confused: It was announced that I won for the longest drive as I drove to New York, picked up my sister, and drove down to the shore for the tournament:D:wah:;) WON 3 lovely, green golf balls...

I was brought up On a house of sport. I did show a flare for tennis when I was a teenager but The Football and Cricket matches I was dragged along to In order to support my brothers as a child was so dreary. My Father also enjoyed Golf and my Mother loved Snooker. I used to lose the will to live when these were on TV.

Have to agree with you there K. Basketball is about as dreary as sport gets. One end - basket - then the other end - basket - then the other end.......

I often thought that this was one of the reasons Americans didnt pick up the football (soccer) bug for such a long time. I thought maybe they didnt get that a sporting contest could be entertaining if it concluded at 0-0 and that it needed a huge score (like the 98 - 93 score that basketball offers)

Me, I'm a Chelsea fanatic and football in general but also love cricket (the pure, test match kind of cricket) and rugby - rugby union particularly but I enjoy rugby league as well

I'm into motor sports.. F1 Grand Prix, Indy Racing League.... Open wheels stuff, not stock cars or Rallying.. Football , Tottenham Hotspur fan... (Sorry K, first half belonged to Fulham, second half to the Spurs) I'm a bit like Snowy in that I like Rugby Union, and only like test Cricket... Also the same in that I can't stand Basketball. When you have to specially breed eight foot freaks, who can cover the court in five strides, then place the ball in a net... Then the other team do it, Ad Infinitum, and the score is 99-98... Well that ain't no sport!...:wah:

Hmmm, I used to play tennis and squash, and swam competatively.

Played water Polo for a few years.

Then most of my participation wained after high school in favour of outdoor activities. Cycling, Fishing, boating, hiking.

If i watch sports, it's hockey, soccer, horse racing. The first two i watch mainly because my partner is a hockey fanatic.

I guess swimming was my passion. It's in my blood.

I had to leave for school while the score was 1-1 and came back home to see Totty Wotty won 3-1 and I almost vomited! First half Fulham played particularly well, I'm afraid to ask what happened...What happened? :wah:

As for basketball, baseball, and automobile racing all on television I would rather watch bulls circle around stomping their feces in the ground!

Love to play those sports but not to watch them on tv no thanks...

Don't even get me started on golf. Like to play golf as well...

Mr O Is a huge fan Of Formula One also. From that I have gleaned a far amount of knowledge on the subject but do you know any-thing about this new one pit stop rule only they are Introducing?

I loved Mika Häkkinen. Kimmy has more or less replaced him but I did love a good head to head with Häkkinen and Schumacher.

Man, it was like watching two games. Fulham owned the first half, I thought Spurs did well to hold it at one nil down by half time. Second half Spurs made some player changes, and scored almost from the start and kept the pressure on. Pavlyachenko got a second to lead 2-1, and the third came from Fulham pushing forward to try to get back in the game, leaving a gap that let Gudjonsen through to score the third.... Damn good game! I thought Dempsey caused problems for Tottenham. Why he didn't start the game I don't know, it was half way through the second half before he came on.

:wah: I remember adult ladies with those swim caps!

I like TKD and softball for sports to participate in. (and yes, I will be playing on a coed team this summer, Friday night doubleheaders) :D

For viewing-basketball and Olympics. Not much is fun to watch on TV, but fun to be at the game itself is fun.

Hakkinen stopped racing too soon IMO. Best driver I've seen! Raikkonen has left the sport now bird.... Ferrari payed him a shed load of dosh to buy his contract out, so's they could put Fernando Alonso in the car. I heard he was having a go at rally driving.. They're still allowed to pit more than once for tyres, but not fuel. They have to carry the race distance fuel, from the start, and can only stop for tyres. They still have to use both types of race tyre, prime and option(hard and soft compound) so depending on how well they manage tyre wear, dictates how many stops they do... Without re-fueling now, the typical pit stop is around 4 seconds!! :D

Ta Bloke.

I couldn't get my head around the varying weather and Pit stops for change of tyres and re-fueling. Do you think the new rule will see less Strategy used? That's where Hakkinen was King... Stratagy Pit stops. Yes, I agree, he went to soon... Mind you... I couldn't sit through his after race Interviews.

It's all about race strategy now, albeit with one less option available (re-fueling, there were too many pit lane fires and re-fuelers being dragged down the pit lane). This week-end is only the second race, so I'm waiting to see how it's gonna pan out......... Haha! Mika was gobby compared to Kimi..:wah:

I love to ski. It's not just the exhiliration of descending a mountain at a breathless pace. It's the feel of the snow under my skis, the sound, smell and taste - the whole atmosphere.

I love to swim - that goes with being an Aussie - it cools you down in summer!! And kayaking.

I love day hiking. I hike mostly alone, in foreign parts - with compass, maps, notes etc. This combines exploring different areas (preferably where I can at least speak some of the language), meeting the locals, having crazy adventures. There's solitude and contemplation against a background of birdsong. There's a puzzle element - am I on the right track? And at the end of the day I arrive somewhere, and hopefully my baggage has been brought there from my previous night's lodging, and maybe it's a shepherd's hut, maybe a farm, maybe a country mansion - but there will always be great food and conversation, and a bed.

These are my passions. I used to be a sprinter and hurdler at school. I was also a serious ice skater, but a smashed knee stopped me on the competitive side of these pursuits. I enjoy archery and target shooting, including black powder shooting. I don't hunt. I used to ride horses in the bush, but had too many falls.. grin.

I rarely watch sport. One of my daughters was an elite gymnast. I occasionally watch televised gymnastics.

Dempsey tore a ligament in his knee around January I think and they thought he'd miss the World Cup so I personally would rather he waited until the 85'...:wah:

But yeah something had dramatically changed because Fulham played very well in the first half...:-1 :wah:

I love to hike also. Mr O can't accompany me these days but I love being alone In the English Countryside with my dogs.

Sorry to hear about the smashed knee. A twarted Sporting career Is hard to bear. My brother never forgave my Father who was 6 ft 4 Inches and giving him his genes as It meant a career as a National Hunt Jockey was thwarted.

I also love to ride and do so when I go home to the Sussex Downs only these days, my Brothers race-horse appears rather scarey and I opt for the Shetland Pony.
