Sydney had Earth Hour last night. I was at a concert in the Opera House at the time, and was sitting in the dark anyway. At interval we went outside and there was a 2/3 full moon, eerily reflected on the white sails. In the Botanic Gardens bats were flying overhead, and some of the city skyscrapers, unlit, looked like futuristic gothic castles in the greenish haze. Neat!!
We couldn't see the moon but we did glimpse some stars in between the clouds. The children wanted to observe it so I thought it would be amusing to see how long it took for the first 'I'm bored' :wah:. It didn't come though, son sorted through some Yu-gi-oh cards and daughter bent my ear for a solid hour, they wouldn't go to bed until the lights came on again as they were too scared . I even found myself uttering the words 'When I was a girl....' aagghhhh. It was fun
