What is the best DVD burner to download and view home movies?

Post by Aura »

Had a look and there are so many. Whats the best one so that I can get at my AVI file and MPEG movies onto a blank DVD disk?

I edit them on Pinnacle video spin and can't get at them from Windows Media Player or Nero, so I would like one that doesn't carry any nasties etc, as I do documentaries for college projects.

I'm certainly not an expert but I found the good ones are few and far between.

I used AVS for a while, to convert divx to dvd and burn to disc. Its a tiresome process so I now download directly onto a media steamer - in my case an Xstreamer - and that plays directly through my TV.

Another option is to buy a dvd player that will play divx movies and that saves the hassle of converting them
