What is it about weather?

Post by Lon »

I'm watching the 6 PM News on the telly and they are giving the weather reports for the north and south islands of New Zealand. And they are also giving reports on weather all over the world. Do I really care? Other than tsunami's, earthquakes, cyclones and tornados---------do I really care? Do You? Why are we interested in Keokuk Iowa being 15 degrees colder than Jacksonville Florida. Is it a way to start a conversation?

An ice breaker? I'm really sorry that parts of Oz are having drought and that there has been some flooding in Zambia, but jeez, this goes on and on. So----------do you really give a rat's a-- about weather other than how it affects you?

Yes. In the winter I like to know who's getting all the snow since I love snow and my area never gets enough, no matter how much falls. I have kin all over the freaking place, including europe and I like to see what they are experiencing.

When we hit the on ramp to return home last weekend, raindrops hit the windshield. It was like an added bonus to the vacation that it was now going to rain on all the incoming folks.:D

Other then that I don't pay much attention to weather unless I need to know if I have to get up earlier to shovel.
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

Lonnie... Weather was Invented to give English folk some-thing to complain about while waiting for the bus.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon
