The list of people on board is shocking. On such an occasion, and traveling for such a reason, it's a terrible thing to have happened.

I'm wondering whether Russia will send both their PM and President to the funeral. It would be a welcome gesture if they did, the Poles have been too angry for too long, some major icebreaking wouldn't go amiss. It's not unreasonable to regard both countries as victims of the times. By which I mean World War Two, not today.
