G'day all. My name is Peter and I live on the Indian Ocean coast about 60kms to the north of Perth in Western Australia where it is currently rather warm. I am retired and have photography and golf as my main interests (although not necessarily in that order)

Welcome Georgieboy...
Photography and golf... nice.. hopefully golf first.. the original love/hate game. I have seen the calmest people in the world go bonkers on a golf course..

Thanks Lon. Interesting to see you spend your winters in Kiwi land. I imagine you have family there. It's a place we've never been, despite making promises to ourselves many times over the years. Peter

Thanks Peg and this is a nice reception I have had. It seems there are many discussion groups in here so I can amuse myself by browsing them to find one or two where I would fit in. Peter

Thanks for the welcome. You are dead right about golf and I freely admit there are days when I refuse to discuss it!! Those are the times when I change the subject rapidly. Troiuble is our local course is literally just over the road and is also a breeding ground for kangaroos, emus etc. so there is always the temptation to walk over there, with or without clubs in hand. Peter

G'day Paula - nice to meet you. I LOVE being known as a JUNIOR member as it's a LONG time since I had junior status at anything. Let's say it appeals to my ego! I looked at the map and it seems most members are in the US of A, would that be right? So far I haven't come across any other Aussies but I've no doubt there will be some. I'll start posting some local photos in the gallery in a few days to give you an idea of our part of the world. Peter

Funny you should say that because I heard about a GeorgieGirl only a day or two ago. I think it was in Webshots.
