From the "Telegraph":

Herds of migrating wildebeest cross the Mara River in Kenya - Telegraph

Even more spectacular on a documentary (Attenbore?) a while ago on the box.

I saw the documentary a long time ago Bill. The poor animals must hurry across the river before the alligators grab them. Then they must cross this dangerous river again on their journey home:-1

I remember being totally gobsmacked at the documentary by David Attenborough about this amazing and spectacular migration of the wildebeest on the Masai Mara. The animals knew that some of them would be killed, but 'safety in numbers' minimised that eventuality. Such a mass of animals crossing the river would certainly 'put off' predator attacks. Most spectacular migration! Thank you for sharing, Bill ! :-6
