Google and Pac Man

Post by ZAP »

I just spent 1/2 an hour on the phone with an AT&T computer tech in Bombay because I was getting this high pitched alarm-sounding thing every time I tried to open my e-mails. Finally he found that Google is celebrating Pac Man's birthday or something, today and tomorrow. Scared the daylights out of me!

I have google.com on stand-by all the time Zap because I'm always googling something. This is the 1st time I heard this Pac Man's google. It's damn annoying, and I had to close google.com.

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I couldn't get it to stop screeching and I couldn't open my e-mails. The guy in India hadn't heard anything about it until I called AT&T. I used to play PacMan all the time. So, if I'd play the game it would stop sounding the alarm?

The last three times I've called for tech support, the people have been from India. Before our conversations are over we've become friends. :D This one, Sam, said it was very hot in Bombay. I told him about our earthquakes. I asked him if it was Saturday already in Bombay. He said it was. He kept saying, "This shouldn't be doing this." Finally I said, "Sam, I know it shouldn't, but it is!" He said, "Well. I will fix it, just bear with me." I know from my friend who does this very same thing in Las Vegas, that once they determine that it's not their problem, they can end the call. He didn't have to spend that much time with me. I was very glad he did.

So, you've had unhappy times with AT&T or India or both?
