Hi,

I was told about this forum and it seems to have the potential for some interesting conversations so thought I would join.

I live in Kingston, greater London (UK) but am originally from Cambridge where I lived for very many years (I was born in Canada and have also lived in France). If you get a chance, give Cambridge a visit. Of course I have a certain bias but it has a lovely historic centre, albeit a small one, and lots of nice green spaces for in the summer.

As for the screen name, it's the name of the part of France where my parents are slowly installing themselves.

All the best to everyone.

Hi, formerly of Royston myself and I'd second your praise of Cambridge - a fine city, well worth a visit.

Enjoy your stay in the Garden :-6

Welcome to Forum Garden, LD, I'm sure you will settle in quite well. Word of caution, though, watch out for our resident garden gnome, Nomad. He's harmless enough on the odd days, but be careful on the even days! You just never can tell !

;) :-6 :D Good luck to your parents in France ! :)

Bloody freezing when the wind's in the East, Cambridge. Golly it gets cold there sometimes.

Comes unimpeded from Russia. Then heads up to Nottingham, only without the snow. :wah:
