Google Earth fascinates me ! I could spend hours and hours, on Google Earth. I have always loved looking at maps, since I was a child. It's a total bonus being able to have a satellite pic of a place, that can be enlarged well enough to see people and cars ! Really absorbing stuff. :-6:D

Have you looked on the other side of the earth, where there's that really watery bit? Fascinating indeed, especially the ocean floor. Mountainous regions can have hugely interesting details, too!

I do love Google maps but really do need to learn how to use it properly.

It's difficult to return home to my childhood home as the area is a bit dangerous, although it's getting better.

I've taken many cyber trips all aound my old childhood home. It is great to be able to access these views.

Tried downloading a picture, from Google maps, of my old home to my pictures/documents, but it didn't come out too well.

You can click on the picture a few times to enlarge...it's the blue one on the right. My Dad build the steps and columns on porch.

I loved that old home...so many warm memories of my childhood.

I use it quite a bit, to be certain of where a hotel I am going to be staying in, or where a customer's office is.
