I'm going to be an auntie again!

Post by chonsigirl »

Oh my goodness, my older brother and my dear sister-in-law (to put up with him all these years...LOL) are adopting a baby, due mid October. They are both retired and have all the time in the world, and wanted a child after all these years, never having one of their own.

Now, my brother tells me his baby will be well behaved, unlike some family members he knows.....:wah:

When I tell people this, they think it is strange, to be so old and want to start a family. I think a baby is always a blessing, and grandchildren even more so. :-4

Oh that is just wonderful news Chonsi!

I'm happy for them, as now being retired, they have the time and its a blessing to the baby being adopted to have a real loving home.

That's wonderful Chonsi.....lovely to hear.

Your family will give this child so much love that she/he might never get.

Congrats to you auntie chonsi & your family!

(Since they're retired, are they considering getting a 10 year old, so they can get a jump on things? :p)

Due?........ are they getting a newborn ? Or is that the date they get the baby? Do they know what it is yet?

Congrats auntie!:guitarist

Congratulations chonsigirl! :-6

BTW, how's that grandchild of yours? Growing like a weed, I bet. :-4

Our grandson will be home on leave in July. Looking forward to seeing him, it has been a year since we have. And of course, he'll try to drink me under the table. :wah:

I think that is wonderful news! Congrats Aunt Chonsi. To want to adopt a child when you are retired and have time for them, instead of wanting to travel, etc. is one of the most unselfish things I've ever heard.
