all weekend, hopefully see you the other side of it :wah:

It's Mazey day tomorrow once again, it's the 20th year so they are pulling out all the stops to celebrate.

Fireworks tonight around 11.15pm beside the sea, parades start in the morning at 10am and go on all day. Lot's of live music and stalls all around the town, the fair is on the promenade and on Sunday it's a celebration of everything to do with the sea, Quay Fair Day. I'll miss Sunday this year though as I am off the Eden project to watch Mika :guitarist:guitarist

I know, I know, it's bad, but when you live here you really do tend to avoid all the tourist traps :D I'm sure the afternoon alone is not enough time at all but hey ho, maybe we will get return tickets :)

Mazey Day itself, celebrating it's 20th year this year and the atmosphere was good, if a little hot! I think many people went home with sunburn last saturday.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/cornwall/hi ... 765906.stm

The horses in the above link are the work of my son's school and the big frog belonged to my daughter's school. As usual both schools produced some fantastic ideas and the kids had a great time on the parades. My daughter can't wait to be able to join in one year.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/cornwall/hi ... 766589.stm

Saturday evening was spent stood between two pubs listening to local live bands and betting on which pub you would get served faster in and which one had the shortest queue for the ladies, even the men had to queue that night :wah:

At around half ten, even though the cash had run out, my mate and I decided we'd hit the Golowan Ball (our other friends had long since headed home, no stamina ) Good decision and we danced until three am :guitarist

Good for you BB! Glad you made the most of your time - no wonder you were knackered 3am ffs!

Did you manage to see the Eden Project? What a splendid parade! Brilliant floats - an awful lot of hard work and imagination gone into those, and well done the kids!

Somebody took a sneaky film of BB dancing in the street!

No wonder you had swollen ankles and things BB :wah: :lips:

Look ! BB's still givin' it some wellie at 2.55 am!

The weekend after I went to see the comedian Jimmy Carr at Plymouth Pavillions, came home with my face and sides aching, he was very funny, but an aquired taste I believe :wah::wah:

My feet don't seem to have touched the ground for the last three weeks what with decorating, partying and even buying a new car. Children break up in two weeks and we're off camping for four days now that I can fit the tent and the children in the new bus :-2:D

Busy, busy, busy...

It's all go around here :-2

The run up to the schools breaking up is always manic. My son spent a week doing 'activities week' last week where he spent his time making music from rubbish and junk and they also planned and performed some 'Musical Mayhem' at the summer fete. I'm quite stunned that he dressed up as a gorilla, wore a mask and performed infront of a hall full of parents and students. It's a first ever for him and I was mega proud of him!! After the concert we spent the evening at a friends throwing a disco for the kids (that's our excuse) and he busted some cool moves there too :wah: Great to see him coming out of his shell and interacting not only with his mates but with other adults that he knows well now.

Monday night I am heading off to our nearest city to see James Morrison :guitarist

I've also started swimming three times a week to try and stay trim lol sitting around doing all this study has meant I have put a bit of weight on, not looking to loose it again, it's not more than a few pounds at a guess, just want to tone up ;)

Got back from five nights on a Haven site around three this afternoon, not somewhere I would usually pick to go to but the kids enjoyed it! Pity I chose to go with a mate who thinks holidays are about spending as little time with your children as you possibly can. I'm still a little shocked that the day we went I looked after one of her children whilst she worked. The child fell on the trampoline and then couldn't move her arm, I spent two hours in casualty with her, expecting her mother to show up at any minute. Nothing, I had to text her and demand she came up, she sent her partner instead, she was busy packing for the trip! Then I got moaned at because I was behind with my packing and we had to leave later than planned, hey ho  (She was ok in the end, no broken bones :) )

Off again tomorrow evening, few days of peace, my children go to their Dad until Sunday so I'm heading off with the tent for some stress free days away from a friend who when finally surfaced each day made all the plans about what we were going to do for what little was left of each day. :-2 Never again... :wah:

Hey, BB, that was supposed to be a 'friend' ? Sounds rather selfish to me. Looks like you are ready for a break and some peace and quiet ! Have an enjoyable and relaxing few days, but take care ! It's good to be the master of your own destiny for a few days at least. Be safe BB ! :-6 :guitarist :sneaky: :driving:
