What the incredimail forum advisor says is "Deleting the message from the 'Deleted Items' folder deletes the email message completely from your computer."

Did you take any system backups which might contain the missing text? Or incredimail backups? Or incredimail exports?

Is it just text you're missing, or attachments too?

Do you have any way of getting the exact text of any of the missing material, like for example getting someone to forward a copy they still have of a bit that's missing? A data recovery package might then be able to rebuild a working version of an older state of the relevant file. It's not likely and it's tricky to do but it's possible in some circumstances.

I suggest contacting Incredimail for advise. DELETE is delete bye bye, unless it wasn't actually delete from the delete folder, or you have backed it up then you can retrieve it.

And it's not the first time I've thought you ought to password-protect access to your computer, fuzz.

HELP purged emails on incredimail

I asked on another forum and they reckon it could be in my "trash" I have no "trash", (I've looked all over the incredimail help site etc.) only "delete" and I have no idea if there is a backup file. And I can't ask my "host/server" cause guess who it is. They weren't purged through any passwords ...I believe it was actually done right under my nose........(when he was "fixing it")

funnily enough my "sent" file wasn't deleted so I have half the emails now but it doesn't show a thread line . So that doesn't help me because I still don't have the "recieved emails".

Hmmm seems I will only be able to go on what I've got. Nine months of abusive emails gone. My fire logs gone. all arranagments made for the kids gone. (which i needed to prove agreed custody arrangements. )

This is the situation......when I began the Uni course my PC was performing really slowly..I was desperate and asked him to help me out .......(he's the techy guy in hte family) he came down from melbourne to fix it for me........he kept getting frustrated and tetchy so I left the room. He told me the PC was shot and he'd see what he could do...After he left different things on the pc wouldn't work ....suddenly I couldn't send emails at all, couldn't upload photos, and he took the dvd drive out of it. . I didn't realise then that the eamils were missing.

he then said he'd buy me another ....sounds like a lovely thing to do doesn't it.

I'ts only recently when I got a solicitor that I realised everything was missing. From16/12/2008 to 21/07/2009, emails before that period are all still there and all those after . Even I'm not that stupid to delete a certain time period of emails. ones which were strategic and important history for me. I am the laziest person on this earth for deleting my 'delete" folder, I can have up to 500 emails sitting in it .

then he contacts me and says I'll buy you a new one....that's really nice (cause he did say he was very broke) so I get this new PC ...The deal was to give him back mine ..............I was advised by friends that it wouldn't be a good idea because he would have my hardrive.......So I said no and the proverbial hit the fan . And that's when I decided I should look into this a bit more...bingo I find my emails gone.

it sounds like I'm ungrateful doesn't it ..he always called it "goodwill" .but when i looked into it properly that's when I not only found that the emails were gone but i've been duped with the child support and I found out how much super I'm intitled too....nearly blew my socks off.....And discovered his dealings with the house was something I wasn't to know about or be involved with........so another words if he is nice I wont ask....cunning clever devil.

Yes, the plot did thicken. and my solicitor is taking care of it. :)

I accessed your computer 2 years ago and transferred all of your personal info including e mail to a file titled fuzzyballs.

Let me know what you need and Id be willing to send some of them to you. Thats how I roll. I like to think Im a generous person.
