Who Pays ????

Post by Patsy Warnick »

Listening to the News tonight - Vandalism to Public School.

At the end of the News Clip - there's NO resolution mentioned.?

News has pictures of the damage to the School and the individuals are identified & students themselves ...??? so, I ask Who Pays?

In the Good 'Ole Day's - if damage was done to a Public building & individuals were identified & under 21 yrs. of age - Parents were responsible. 1970's. And We paid Taxes.

So, I ask - Do We just expect School Insurance to pick this up?

which is Tax Payers.

Are Parents No longer Responsible for the childs actions?

Is it 2010 & not 1970 ?

Some may argue that it's society's fault as a whole that these kids were brought up in a way to do something like this...

Perhaps this incident depends on where it happened.

The students should put in community service hours, to repay the damage they have done.

M.A.S.

Why should the Government pay for damages a student does to a Public Building? They (students) ruined electronic - broke windows - started a fire.

And when you say Gov't. - your saying Tax Payers..?

As Snyder stated - Society allows this - If the students aren't held responsible for damages - then they'll never be held responsible for their behavior.

when they destroyed windows and public buildings, the ministry of education may did something wrong to them and that's why the did it.. It's not a good action though..

that's what will happen here if no one knows who did it..

Definitely the parents will pay for the damage and the child should be doing community service. Otherwise the tax payers will be paying for it.

Patsy I can understand your frustration Patsy.

We had very similar here about 3 weeks ago when a Toddlers Playground was set fire to by yobs.

We had a damn good Idea which group had done It as they were seen by a reliable witness heading towards the park at the time the fire started.

My frustration was compounded further when that weekend I was having a cigg outside the take-away and actually heard the group of boys talking about the fact that the foam flooring had only melted and not Ignited as they hoped. The Police can not begin to charge them because I was alone and there were approx 12 of them. It would never stand up In court.

I think there Is no other answer than to take the parents to court If the youth Is under 18 years old and does not work. They spawned them... They can pay for them.

As In the case of our Toddlers playground, the babies have now no-where to play and It Is the tax payers who will foot the bill to replace It. :-5

The ideal response would be for prisoners to perform labor duties for the city far more than they do now. The result is more money for the city's to invest in the workforce that which is defined by society's education.

The alternative is to do away with gym not only bringing up stupid people but stupid, overweight, people that keeps feedin itself through ignorance and horrible eating habits...

The News mentioned the vandalism - they have the students - but never mentioned the out come? What if any thing will happen to the students? Who pays for the damages? So, I'm asking who pays?

Apparently these students don't have any one to answer to & they're bored so "who Cares" "whatever" attitude...

Snyder - There's no mention that the Students were OVERWEIGHT - That has nothing to do with this topic. Thank You

Of course it's relevant.

Determinants of Adolescent Physical Activity and Inactivity Patterns

...This article aims to investigate environmental and sociodemographic determinants of physical activity and inactivity patterns among subpopulations of US adolescents.Determinants of Adolescent Physical Activity and Inactivity Patterns -- Gordon-Larsen et al. 105 (6): e83 -- Pediatrics

Participation in daily school physical education (PE) program classes (adjusted odds ratio [AOR]: 2.21; confidence interval [CI]: 1.82-2.68) and use of a community recreation center (AOR: 1.75; CI: 1.56-1.96) were associated with an increased likelihood of engaging in high level moderate to vigorous physical activity.Determinants of Adolescent Physical Activity and Inactivity Patterns -- Gordon-Larsen et al. 105 (6): e83 -- Pediatrics

High neighborhood serious crime level was associated with a decreased likelihood of falling in the highest category of moderate to vigorous physical activity Determinants of Adolescent Physical Activity and Inactivity Patterns -- Gordon-Larsen et al. 105 (6): e83 -- Pediatrics

I don't know how you could have come up with anything different...
