Hi everyone in the States, has the following come to your attention yet?
Does it particularly worry you?
Government agents can sneak onto your property in the middle of the night, put a GPS device on the bottom of your car and keep track of everywhere you go. This doesn't violate your Fourth Amendment rights, because you do not have any reasonable expectation of privacy in your own driveway — and no reasonable expectation that the government isn't tracking your movements.

Hmm, if it is private property it is trespassing. I think they would be bored if they tracked my movements-school, store, bunch of errands to run.

They can track me all they want. That's the problem here in the U.S., they worry about everything but the things they (the government) SHOULD worry about.

Well said, Peg. The governments rights??
They would also be bored it they tagged along with me. Most of my commute involves going to work and back.It would be amusing to me to have the government along for the ride.

I always thought they could pinpoint people with their cell phones anyway. That would be even more boring for the government-text messages of baby pictures, what's for dinner.....

I guess if you're not up to anything dodgy there's nothing to worry about. Perhaps the idea behind this is to catch drug dealers and other criminals.
If it's sucessful over in the States, no doubt it will eventually find its way over here in the UK.

I don't appreciate Big Brother thinking that they can step upon my driveway, my private property, and place anything under my car. Ridiculous !!!! I'll have to look into this.
Thanks for the heads up Binbag:-6

Perhaps we should put a bumper sticker on our vehicles. On it there will be an American flag with the saying "Uncle Sam is along for the ride".

The way I figure it, everyone is already being tracked through rfid things in all the stuff we buy anyway. From our clothes to our food. And what makes you think it's just in the U.S.? Britain has probably been doing it as well. After all...noone has rights over here.

Yes we do. And you all depend on it worldwide where people have been able to take it into their legal system: Habeas Corpus.
From wiki: Habeas corpus (literally, "that you have the body ") is a writ, or legal action, through which a prisoner can be released from unlawful detention. The remedy can be sought by the prisoner or by another person coming to his aid. Habeas corpus originated in the English legal system, but it is now available in many nations. It has historically been an important legal instrument safeguarding individual freedom against arbitrary state action.
You are homesick. Sympathy.

The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"
Lone voice: "I'm not."
