She is up for DEFENDER of the year in the WOMENS PROFESSIONAL SOCCER LEAGUE. She is also up for another award CITI Sportswomen of the year that is voted on by players only for contributing to her community and helping young player learn and advance.

You Brits should be proud you have one of your own ladies up for the "Michelle Akers" player of the year award KELLY SMITH - BOSTON BREAKERS. She has 11 goals this season and is one of the best players I have seen in a long time. There are many outstanding english women players on different teams in the WPS.

Yes the votes are close Gill that is why I came here to enlist votes from my friend in the GARDEN. Nicole Barnhart is an amazing goalie she plays on my the same team as my Niece, and also plays with Rachel on the Womens National Team thank you for voting for her as well.

Sorry but she was at 32% before I voted ! It hasn't changed from that. I think you will find, also, that there may be an automatic 'stop' after you have made one vote. It works similarly in polls on FG, except at least they tell you on FG that you have already voted !

That is correct KE 1 vote from 1 IP address if they see more they just don't count them. I wish it was more than one vote and I appreciate everyone helping her out.

It is the timing of the initial vote once it registers your IP and not until then is your vote counted, so if you try it over again in a matter of seconds it appears your vote is being cast again but its not it counts 1 and 1 only for each IP address.

Me too..!! either way her (she is the captain) team has won the divison title and plays for the grand title in WPS on the 25th. She also had a banner year with the Women's National Team she was named captain just last month what a great honor for her there have only been 12 women to be named captain of the WNT in its history.

It is basically has become East Coast vs West Coast. Since their is only 1 team on the west coast it becomes easy for the east coast players to win deserving or not.
