What Do You Know About Religions

Apparently many Americans don't know very much about different religions, including their own.

I think it's fair to say that many do, too. But not most.

I tried to take the quiz but it 'threw' me out. I got to question 6 and they were quite basic but I guess you have to be interested in the world around you, watch the news, read and watch documentaries to add to your general knowledge .

Can't say I find that surprising.

Atheists and agnostics scored highest, with an average of 21 correct answers, while Jews and Mormons followed with about 20 accurate responses. Protestants overall averaged 16 correct answers, while Catholics followed with a score of about 15.

Now that I don't find surprising. Deciding you are not religious requires a conscious decision and a lot of soul searching. They are by nature people who ask questions and seek answers for themselves.

Agreed. Most "Religious people" regardless of their particular flavor of religion, will not pay much attention to the "other religions"

I scored 15, BTW. but I always was interested in all sorts of different philosophies.

Fascinating to see some of the results. Even most Jews did not know that Maimonides was one.

I hadn't noticed the quiz at the bottom of the article.
