QVC sickness. . .

Post by cars »

My neighbor is always shopping on TV, helping to make QVC very rich! Every time I go over to visit, she is there watching a QVC salespitch for some kind of crapola! Lately, it seems she now has her husband hooked on making QVC rich as well! As they both now are gluded to the TV, watching the sales pitches for hours. It has become a sickness for them, fortunately they both have to eventually leave the house to go to work! Consequently, their house is full of "just opened" boxes of all the crapola they just bought, & still are continuing to buy. They could open up a store of their own!

(I've actually bought 3 or 4 hard to find items at QVC myself)

So do you, or do you know anyone who loves to shop at QVC ?

Here its called 'The Shopping Channel.'

It does have nice things here and there and I have bought just a couple.

however an ex-employer of mine lived for it 24/7, how I remember being receptionist just how many parcels came per week was just overwhelming just how much time she spent on that channel.

Her hiness would wobble her 400lb body out of her office each time I told her she had a package from them....she always had to know if it was from them.

The crap she ordered was just insane, she would end up giving to us, her staff, and we would just laugh at the crap she had ordered.

Her home was filled with shelves everywhere with crap on it.

needless to say even though she had tons of money? She had no taste.
Life is just to short for drama.

Not me.

I am allergic to sales pitch.

I start feeling nauseous and dizzy, and if I can't get away, I will puke.

I have to have the mute button at the ready for when the commercials come on.

And we decided we needed to buy a car this month.

You should see us going to the car lot.

But, I digress....

Anyway, no, I never buy anything from QVC.

Had a neighbor that did all her Xmas shopping there, though.

She watched and would see something that was "Just right" for somebody on her list, and buy the thing.

Had her holiday shopping done by Halloween, every year.

I only bought one item from QVC years ago....a silver birth stone ring for about $25. So...no, I don't have any QVC sickness. :wah:

If they would shop the internet they could find the same item cheaper and probably free shipping both ways. :)

Very true....in 10 years I have probably bought twice from QVC.......both ended up 'white elephants !

e-bay is a good place for bargains somtimes and just general 'trawling' the net can reap rewards.
