What are you afraid of? What sends shivers down your spine? (Aside from politics, of course!)

Personally, ever since I slashed my arm to the bone with a razor scraper when I was young, I've hated the sight of a razor blade!

Heights. Ever since I was a kid. I tried to overcome it by riding on a ferris wheel alone, over and over at a carnival when I was 11. I cured it, until the next summer and the next ferris wheel.

I am not so much scared of high places as I am of falling. This seems to have got worse since my daughter was born and now the fear can be evoked simply by seeing an image. If I think I'm going to fall, I freeze and I have learnt the hard way not to put myself in a position where this will occur as I cannot even help anyone who is trying to help me.

On the other hand, if I feel safe, I have no problem with flying, skyscrapers, and so on.

that's what i'm scared of. I get the freaks out of thinking about laying in bed and looking under my bed to see if anything is there and seeing nothing then turning around only to see that! also like looking out my window to make sure nothings there and when i finally relax and calm down that thing creeping up from the window fingers first then the head

Slip n Slides. The ones you put in your yard and hook water up to them. When I was a kid we put one down in the yard and I just had to be first to go. I went sliding down that plastic piece of death and lo and behold a tent stake had been left in the yard from camping in the backyard the night before. Tore my leg from the shin to my butt. I have never been on one of those death traps since.

I would have to say, snakes are my #1 fear, followed closely by broken bones and spiders.
