My boss pinned this to the bulletin board today with the caption:
I've never seen a Flow Chart described so clearly.
When the top level guys look down, they see only ****;
When bottom level guys look up, they see only assholes.

Perhaps your boss is drawing attention to the facial expressions?
Nullius in verba ... ☎||||||||||| ... To Fate I sue, of other means bereft, the only refuge for the wretched left.
When flower power came along I stood for Human Rights, marched around for peace and freedom, had some nooky every night - we took it serious.
Who has a spare two minutes to play in this month's FG Trivia game! ... My other OS is Slackware.

To start with I thought she was laughing about realising we think she's an *******. Then I realised she might be just responding to that with calling us all ****.

Either way inappropriate.
ALOHA!!
MOTTO TO LIVE BY:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.
WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

Oh, it would be so hard for me to work with a boss like that Koan.
I had to work with a monster like that awhile ago. I couldn't take her nastiness anymore and put in for a transfer to another building. Luckily, she left before I did.

I would not be a happy person at all.

How would we take what? The flow chart or what your supervisor wrote?

I'd take it for what it's meant to be. A joke that makes light of the situation in most companies/organizations. It's the natural way of things. I wouldn't find it offensive.
We had a similar situation at my old place of work. The big boss got a fancy bell from somewhere with a little baby spoon sized hammer to ring it with. He got the impression that it was supposed to bring his staff and workers running when he rang it.
One day while he was out of town we took that damn bell across the street to the machine shop and put it in a 500 ton press, we put what was left of it back on his desk. He never replaced it.

That's considered bullying behaviour where I come from and the boss could be sued by all ground level employees.

I'm hesitant to say anything because it will probably result in everyone having to go to a seminar or something. Mind you, we used to cartoon each other on the garbage boxes and she was the one who said we couldn't anymore because she didn't like us making fun of how crazy she gets on inventory week.
She's actually just crazy all the time. I have a list.
