I've never liked it and those of you who do should have been at my house last night digging a path into the yard so that the dog could go to the bathroom - she's not some prissy little toy either. Her head is well past my waist.

and the, what? :-3 Too exhausted from shoveling to finishing the sentence? :p ;)

Snow's not bad until you get an inch of freezing rain on top of it.

The weather channel showed how badly your area got hammered with this storm. You've been in my thoughts!

And the snow plow had just gone past my house so I hit submit and headed out the door without finishing my thought...lol

I made 16 bean soup in the crock pot overnight so I was the hero at work today, everyone hungry and nothing much open.:guitarist

Of course, I didn't factor in the vegan or the guy who can't eat pork, but they appreciated the chips and salsa I brought in too.

That and AZ are where everyone from around here heads too - in their golden years. Those of us whose years are made of brass just keep the shovel handy...lol

Snow we don't have it in San Diego just endless days of beautiful sunset and sunshine. :)

Those plows sure like to plow the driveways shut. No sooner get it opened and here comes the plow again. :wah: We did enough shoveling the past two days. If we can't get out tomorrow using 4WD, we'll stay home. Some areas lost power from the ice storm. Luckily, we didn't.

I'm surprised you worked. Very nice you fed everyone! :-6 Bet they'll be wondering what you're bringing in tomorrow. :D

In a pinch, I can make it with 1 bean and a magic marker.

Here in south Texas they're predicting snow ... up to an inch! That'll close the schools.

It's so cold the illegals are skating across the border. :wah:

We're the newpaper and radio group in the area. When everyone else is hunkering down, that's when they want us the most. And my day actually started the night before when my server room system called me to tell me it was too hot. Had to have the building guy turn on the wall mount backup ac for me because I couldn't get out and down there at that time. He went up on the roof yesterday and dug about 4 gallons of packed snow out of the fans that pull the air into the unit.

So you can bet I brought in soup - it's the least I could do for them...lol

This is what I had done before 7 yesterday morning. Me and my shovel. Lower left is the stairs I then carved out so that the dog could go do her thing. she was very grateful..:wah:

We were several inches into this before they decided to send the kids home from school. They were off yesterday and today ONLY because there is no place for the kids to stand safely, while waiting for buses. But I stopped for gas this morning and the guy was amazed that although his business wasn't open yesterday because they hadn't plowed him out yet, our paper made it to his paperbox.:yh_rotfl

Looking at your picture Floppy, I noticed there is barely any snow of the roof, on the house across the road. Either the high winds removed it or poor insulation.

No rain, snow, sleet or hail will keep Floppy from getting the news out! :yh_sungla
