It's incredible isn't it? The world and it's people are wide open. No more secrets, no more deception, no more lies. Yes, you must sometimes have to sift through lots of differing opinion and perception, but this sure beats the old days of limited and delayed information. Just look at what is going on in the Middle East, it's like a wild fire. The internet has made this happen. Is it good or bad? Time will tell. How about Wiki Leaks? The Somalia Pirates. The New Zealand quake? For me to be able to instantly communicate with a Christchurch relative as they are receiving a big after shock is amazing. My gut feeling is that all this OPENNESS will eventually work out well for all mankind as a whole.

What thoughts do you have about this?

The more we have open access to information the better IMHO but the greater the danger of disinformation being used as a counter-measure.

Yes all the world is out there but if it gets to the point where we cannot tell the truth from the lies then it's one step forward and two steps back.

I'm one of those trying to put the lizard back into the box. The sort of information availability you're discussing, Lon, is magnificent. The other side is how difficult it's become to keep information hidden from those you want it hidden from. The information Wikileaks handles is all intended for distribution at some level, just not at a public-visibility level. I reckon there's no half way house any more - there's no way of limiting distribution only to a named set of people. One can try but others can invariably beat you if they know what they're looking for.

But yes, to answer the question - I think you're right about the eventual good. It's an end of privacy though.

An educated and informed population is the hardest to govern when you look at which governments want to restrict access or demand information on what people are doing on line for the sake of national security it makes for a surprising list.

The internet is but training wheels compared to the true potential we can reach as a Human race through nothing other than our own conscious abilities. We need not stop at the internet however. After the Pole-Shift, if there is anything left to utilize, we can one day after the rebuilding of a better World takes place reach into different levels of consciousness and do things that at the moment would seem impossible. I'm talking out of body travel, I'm talking remote viewing and levitation, I'm talking esp perception, psychic communication with each other, I'm talking about things that would make the internet look like ancient history.

This process could take a long time to develop. But it is in the process of developing as we speak.

The internet is the greatest thing of our time but at the rate we're changing it will be primitive. There are no limits other than what we put on ourselves in whatever form. It's really quite sad. Were it not for things like war we would most likely be on Mars now. Our primitive minds need to catch up to our technology.

Why would you want to put a lizard in a box in the first place?

And there's me thinking you were familiar with the structures of sexual metaphor, snooze. When my church celebrates the spring solstice I'm often referred to as Iguana Man. Mind you, it's a strange church.
