wonderful

I understand that nomad has icicles, but here the weather is wonderful. It is warm and sunny. The birds are outside chirping and there are blossoms on the trees. It's hard to believe that it's still winter.

I hope we do not see a surprise cold snap. Shudder...shudder.

Do country folks wake up when the rooster crows, or do they pull the pillow over their ears and mutter, "Not now.Go away"?

No, when the rooster crows the old farmer rolls over and looks at the old hen he is sleeping with and asks "Where's the coffee". :wah:

Tsk tsk, my friend.

The opposite of hard is soft.

The opposite of light is either dark or heavy.

A heavy sleeper doesn't care whats going on around him............he's out. Like a light.

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

The first time ever I saw your face

I thought the sun rose in your eyes

And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave

To the dark and the empty skies, my love,

To the dark and the empty skies.

The first time ever I kissed your mouth

And felt your heart beat close to mine

Like the trembling heart of a captive bird

That was there at my command, my love

That was there at my command.

And the first time ever I lay with you

I felt your heart so close to mine

And I knew our joy would fill the earth

And last till the end of time my love

It would last till the end of time my love

The first time ever I saw your face, your face,

Nostalgia is fine as long as it does not consume your life. We do live in the present, but once in awhile, it it good to remember and cherish what once was.....the people we once knew, the places we lived.

Italian

A perfect Italian dinner; spaghetti with meat sauce, a crisp garden salad, and toasy garlic bread. A glass of red wine is nice too. Served on a red checkered table cloth with wine bottle candles. O Solo Mio............

Neapolitan Italian Text

Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e sole,

n'aria serena doppo na tempesta!

Pe' ll'aria fresca pare già na festa...

Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e sole.

Ma n'atu sole

cchiù bello, oje ne'.

O sole mio

sta 'nfronte a te!

O sole

O sole mio

sta 'nfronte a te!

sta 'nfronte a te!

Quanno fa notte e 'o sole se ne scenne,

me vene quase 'na malincunia;

sotto 'a fenesta toia restarria

quanno fa notte e 'o sole se ne scenne.

Ma n'atu sole

cchiù bello, oje ne'.

O sole mio

sta 'nfronte a te!

O sole

O sole mio

sta 'nfronte a te!

sta 'nfronte a te!

English Translation

What a wonderful thing a sunny day

The serene air after a thunderstorm

The fresh air, and a party is already going on…

What a wonderful thing a sunny day.

But another sun,

that’s brighter still

It’s my own sun

that’s in your face!

The sun, my own sun

It’s in your face!

It’s in your face!

When night comes and the sun has gone down,

I start feeling blue;

I’d stay below your window

When night comes and the sun has gone down.

But another sun,

that’s brighter still

It’s my own sun

that’s in your face!

The sun, my own sun

It’s in your face!

It’s in your face!

yellow

Yellow Submarine lyrics

Songwriters: Lennon, John; Mccartney, Paul;

In the town where I was born

Lived a man who sailed to sea

And he told us of his life

In the land of submarines

So we sailed on to the sun

Till we found a sea of green

And we lived beneath the waves

In our yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine

Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine

Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

And our friends are all aboard

Many more of them live next door

And the band begins to play

We all live in a yellow submarine

Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine

Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

Full speed ahead Mr. Boatswain, full speed ahead

Full speed ahead it is, Sgt.

Cut the cable, drop the cable

Aye, aye, Sir, aye, aye

Captain, captain}

As we live a life of ease

Every one of us has all we need

(One of us, has all we need)

Sky of blue and sea of green

(Sky of blue, sea of green)

In our yellow submarine

(In our yellow, submarine, aha)

We all live in a yellow submarine

A yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine

A yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine

Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine

Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

everywhere

Beatles

Here, There And Everywhere Lyrics

To lead a better life,

I need my love to be here.

Here, making each day of the year

Changing my life with a wave of her hand

Nobody can deny that there's something there.

There, running my hands through her hair

Both of us thinking how good it can be

Someone is speaking but she doesn't know he's there.

I want her everywhere

and if she's beside me I know I need never care.

But to love her is to need her

Everywhere, knowing that love is to share

each one believing that love never dies

watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there.

I want her everywhere

and if she's beside me I know I need never care.

But to love her is to need her.

Everywhere, knowing that love is to share

each one believing that love never dies

watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there.

I will be there, and everywhere.

Here, there and everywhere.

Eating is a necessity for survival, but it should be a pleasure as well. Sharing a meal with someone. Placing a small arrangment of flowers in the center of your table, even if you eat alone. Taking your time to savor each bite.....no matter what food you are eating. Bon appetit!

My favorite season is spring when all my flowers sneak up from under the cold ground, my tulips and daffodils are up and showing their faces now. Just a few weeks ago my crocus's were beaming in the sun.

My forsythia bush is also in full bloom, however just 6 weeks ago, I brought in a branch and forced it indoors.

rich

What is a normal childhood? We weren't rich, we were pretty middle-class. My dad survived from job to job; with him taking care of so many relatives, he couldn't save any money.

Charlie Sheen

Even the rich are hungry for love, for being cared for, for being wanted, for having someone to call their own.

Mother Teresa

I try to give to the poor people for love what the rich could get for money. No, I wouldn't touch a leper for a thousand pounds; yet I willingly cure him for the love of God.

Mother Teresa

To be able to give away riches is mandatory if you wish to possess them. This is the only way that you will be truly rich.

Muhammad Ali

If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.

John F. Kennedy

No man is rich enough to buy back his past.

Oscar Wilde

Who is wise? He that learns from everyone. Who is powerful? He that governs his passions. Who is rich? He that is content. Who is that? Nobody.

Benjamin Franklin

It is only when the rich are sick that they fully feel the impotence of wealth.

Benjamin Franklin

Content makes poor men rich; discontent makes rich men poor.

Benjamin Franklin

Who is rich? He that rejoices in his portion.

Yesterday I was backing up my car with the door open as I was only going back a few feet in my driveway. All of a sudden water came out from the garden hose pipe like a volcano. I shut the water off, thank goodness I have a main valve as well or I wouldn't have any water. Mike will check it next week as the pipe is bent. I really hope I don't need a plumber.
