Where do we go from here

I am a United State citizen, my place of birth was Georgia. I have two adult children and one grandson. Life has not been good to me. I suppose I am trying to fill an emptiness, a void. Through communication with others, I might find myself. My best talents are writing and poetry. I haven't done much in those areas lately. I am senior in years. My body is tired but the spirit is willing. ----- My aim is :through helping myself, I will help others.

Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself Loyal and as a fellow senior I welcome you. I'm interested in your handle "Loyal", how did that come about?

The number 1 reason is the meaning behind the word; faithful or supporative, respectful. I am loyal to my creator, first and foremost. I am loyal to my husband. I am loyal to my family and friends. My desire is to be known as a person that keeps secrets, (not gossiping) I live my everday life in loyalty, the things I say, the way I act, the things I do. That is how you can tell what a person is, not just in communicating with you or in public. The way I think or the things I do when I am alone and there is no one to see or hear.

Since we are not able to observe you day to day and see the things you do we are left with your written words on this Forum to form an opinion. It's my observation and opinion that your initial postings seem negative and some what self pitying, but that's just me, someone else may differ. Wanting to help others is admirable but it's not necessary to do it on the basis of "I'll tell you my troubles if you tell me yours", you know, the misery loves company thing.

Hello, Loyal and welcome to FG. I believe we all could write an interesting story about our lives: the great moments of joy and the almost unbearable moments of sorrow. That's just the way life is. I'm sorry you feel you have a void in your life. What do you need to fill that void? You don't have to answer here...just answer in your heart.

Where you go from here is up to you.

Lon, you are absolutely correct, you can only determine who or what I am by what I have written. I am sorry you have negative thoughts about me. Perhaps I should have told everyone how high I carry my head. Perhaps I should have told you about my 99.9 grade point average in English, upon graduation from high school. Perhaps I should have told you about my grandson who is gifted and was in gifted classes all the way through his school years, and had scholarships for college and my neice who is studying to be a lawyer and her daughter is in her 4th. year of nursing, and my nephew who is a registered nurse and was offered the hospital administrator position and turned it down because he was going for bigger and better things.------I know NONE OF THIS IS ME, simply because I didn't reach out for it. If I have portrade myself as a whining, mousy person, then perhaps I should catch up on my writing skills. You appear to me, no matter what I say, you're going to be on the opposite side. I do appreciate your opinion and you are quick to spot another point of view.

No, I won't be on the opposite side of everything you post, just the things that you post that I disagree with. I am not one who goes along to get along.

It would be impossible to use physiognomy to see what's in or on your mind since physiognomy has nothing to do with the mind, it would merely display your countenance.
