is this normal?

If I include the offending text I get the same error message. There is nothing even vaguely problematic in the text. The error message is: Post denied. New posts are limited by number of URLs it may contain and checked if it doesn't contain forbidden words.

If this message gets through, I will attempt to post the "offending" message.

Okay, that didn't make it. Let me try again. this was the offending message.

what was the violation?

I tried to respond to this message, but got an error message each time, saying that I was violating the rules. I edited out all references to any specific mfr or vendor, but got the same error message. Sigh. I guess it will take me awhile to learn the rules.

The problem seems to have gone away, perhaps because I reached some very low threshold in the number of posts. I haven't seen the problem since. Thanks.

How come we don´t know your taste in music yet? Or, of course, your lack thereof. We take quite a bit of persuading.

Had I know that I was expected to reveal my tastes in music, I would certainly have complied. Everything from Mozart to Zappa is in my music library. At the moment, I am listening to some folk music from the '60s.

There are, of course, many meanings of the word ¨folk¨. You may be some distance from ceilidh-playing strip-the-willow-calling acceptability. I note that I just came over from the machine I´ve been configuring most of the day, the sound system of which I tested by playing Fairport Nine and Liege & Lief. That, if I recall, just falls into your category. Burl Ives on the other hand would leave you several points short.

There is still much debate here in England as to whether Dylan ever played folk, so be warned. Dicey ground, that.

This particular playlist comes from what was known in the US as "folk revival". Pete Seeger, Woodie Guthrie, Tom Paxton, John Hartford, Joan Baez, etc.

Weĺl allow Pete Seeger. Even so itś widely accepted there have only been three new folk songs written since 1850.

eta: alright, weĺl allow Joan Baez too.

It was, of course, entirely my own doing.
