I can now make and lay your Sub flooring ....make and erect the walls of a small house and give you a fricking great porch....don't ask about the roof yet. Another month or so for the roof there's a bit more to that . :-3

three more mines are opening up within the next two years .....looks like i'm going to get rich ...YAY!!! (well as long as they are ones I agree with ) :)

so this is funny .....I know I should be offended but I'm just to old for that now ...it's okay I was good I didn't say anything that I shouldn't have (it' almost killed me )

did you know that if you put soap on a screw it makes it easier to screw into wood??? .....yeah I knew that too and I also knew it about a month ago when the tutor told me .....I said ..."yes I know" ....The other day he decided to spend over a minute and half maybe telling me about lubricating screws....Ummmmmm...

You know those times when you're listening and you twig something isn't right? Now I know carpenters love their work but ...it's a screw man GET OVER IT.....Then you think Hang on a screw goes in it doesn't need to be lubricated so it's easier to go IN ...and OUT...Hmmmmm and the lecture continued...."it stops the rubbing and the friction so it doesn't heat the wood too much and makes for easier insertion....Do you get what I'm saying?" ..........................after about 10 seconds the penny drops and I almost laugh out loud ...I had so many comebacks but hell what if I was wrong and he thinks I'm the one with the dirty mind ? so I held it in I've never had to do that before, it's harder than it looks.

I continued screwing screws in and he walked away .....and yes there was a silent uncomfortable moment . and then for the first time heneeds to hand me things Now we all know there is at least an inch seperating people who need to pass something to you by hand (anyone ever noticed that?) Well not with this dude...seems you have to touch now.

Don't get me wrong I'm not threatened by this individual or anything but it is sadly funny .

As long as you're having fun.

But of course most of the soap is removed by the time the screw is half-way in, and you have a nice bit of friction to keep it there.

I always preferred drilling a guide hole with a bit about 1/2 the screw shaft diameter.

But the foreman told me I was wasting too much time that way.

As for the touching?

Possible he is touching your arm so you know where the next item is, and don't waste time taking eyes off the target to retrieve it?
