Facebook again !!!
In March this year, I was minding my own business In the pre-parade ring at Cheltenham.
Un-known to me there was a guy taking photo's of me taking photo's of Kauto Star.
Now suddenly, I get a message saying I have been 'tagged' by some-one I have never heard of and who Is not on my friends list.
Looking at his profile, there I am In his pic...
How does he know me?
I don't get It...

I don't get It...
The tagging is automatic. Facebook has a very sophisticated face recognition process and tags your image when it shows up.
They now alert you when that happens and you can reject it. But I am not sure whether that keeps it from identifying on the other persons profile.
I plan to experiment with some relatives to see how it actually works.

One of the reasons I don't get It was recently I put some family pics on and a nephew had to ask permission If he could tag himself In my pic even though he Is on my friends list.

Check this out! You can zoom in on an individual and get his/her facebook tab and look them up.
This is the photo taken by Port Moody photographer Ronnie Miranda that appeared in the Tri-City News on Friday (24-June).
When you open this up, check the left hand side where you can upsize the photo, and click on the Yellow print "view with GigaTag"
This is actually scary. You can see - perfectly - the faces of every single individual - and there were thousands!
Privacy? Just think what the police and the military have at their disposal.
