Oh yessss, I like me some heavy bass. And sweaty lead singers.

I'm glad that worked for you, 'cause if it didn't, I was going to hit you with a "cannot fail!" Think I will, anyway.

Y'know, as much as I like Micheal Mcdonald, he's so overrated. He's right up there with Steve Perry... way overdone. Know what I mean?

Yeah, maybe. I don't know how old you are, but I (musically) grew up with the Doobs.
Their first album came out in '71, and I remember hearing that album, as obscure as it was at the time. I had graduated from HS in '70, and was at SIUC at the time. I was impressed with that album, but their subsequent albums had a great impact on my music appreciation and playing (I started playing rock guitar in '72). McDonald wasn't with them, then. He joined them for the tour for "Stampede," and the first album he appeared on was "Takin' It To The Streets." Before that, he was with Steely Dan.
Guess I'm just a bit prejudice towards the Doobs. :p

I'm just going to assume you're an idiot and be done with it.
In September 1986 his solo single, "You're the Voice" peaked at No. 1 on the Australian singles charts. The associated album, Whispering Jack, held the No. 1 position for a total of 25 weeks, and is the highest-selling album in Australian history. Both the single and the album had Top Ten success internationally including No. 1 in Sweden

Back in Black Billboard peak 4 (Johnson reached 1 lower than Scott's highest album on his first album) and 22x platinum
For those about to rock we solute you Billboard peak 1 (reaches number 1 in only his second album) 4x plainum
Johnson still going strong 3 years ago Black ice reaches #1 and has gone 2x platinum

Allmusic says this song (by Joe Jackson) came out in 1982, but I could swear I first heard it on the radio in 1980. It's one of the songs I've really liked down through time.

Here's one from 1980 I'm sure everyone will remember. It's got that funky groove...

It was heavily played here in the States, along with a number of their earlier works. Those were from the '70s, though. I have all their studio albums in my collection, up to that one (Gaucho).

Yeah, that was a HUGE hit and they were a very popular band. Maybe she's too young.

Actually, according to the Youtube page, it's the call sign of a radio station.
Well, I just found out it's one of several fictional "radio stations" in the video game "Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas".
