Great story! The quilt has been returned "home" where it belongs. How many of us would have made that same choice?

Good point! My first guess is that in the 40 years in between the time she purchased it and the time she donated it, she probably changed immensely in her thinking as most people do. Ultimately she made a good decision, albeit a little slow!

Plus she didn't have the internet to search out the legible names to make the connections - she did well (or is that she done good, I can never tell).
