Gill's chocs...

Post by Oscar Namechange »

You can always rely on anything British to be a total C**K up.

I sent Gill some chocolates while she was In hospital and filled In all the labels. Including a small one on the back with address of sender.

The hospital assured me that should she depart before they arrived, they would post them on to her.... Which they did.....

To my house.

Oh it's not funny really, but how could you make the stupid mistake of sending it back to the sender!

Quite easily, if you work on a busy ward. Annoying for Oscar, obviously, but an easy mistake to make when you don't have time for your routine work let alone redirecting mail and parcels to former patients.

I looked upon It more as divine Intervention and ate them. Sorry Gill.

Apologies both for initially being a bit snappy...I've had a horrendous couple of days "on the ward" and it's showing now :o

Thanks, both :-6

I'm admin support on the ward, not a nurse, but it can still be horrendous. One of these days I swear I shall disappear under a huge mound of paperwork :D

Yes, Theia, I know Julie said she ate the chocs, which I thought was a much better idea than sending the box all over the country again, and possibly damaging the precious contents whilst the postmen were trying to find the correct address ! ;):yh_rotfl

Thanks for the wishes, yes I'm making steady progress but not sure about having the operated leg an inch + longer than the other one ! I'm hoping that the matter can be sorted when I have the op to replace my left hip - maybe possible to make that one an inch + longer to match it up ! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
