Guess This Was A Great Help To The Ladies!!
Is the affectation of posting the image in the second of two posts, just a way to get two posts in one of your obscure threads, or a way to push up your post count ?
Just asking ?
(Should I make a poll for a two answer option ?)

Generally it is done to avoid the possibility of a large image "blowing the margins" of the front page and it is considered good practice - especially after the recent spate of such incidents.

If that is the case then I shall humbly apologise and stop my tongue in cheek campaign.
Would have thought 'blowing margins' was more to do with image size though......

It is - but it is also surprising how often members misjudge the size of their attachment.

I am sure the size of JJ's attachments are within 'margin blowing' limits, unless the rumours are true.

I've always wondered about that expression... if you've got your tongue in your cheek, you're more likely to bite it. Unless we're talking about another kind of cheek entirely.

This thread is taking an unseemly direction.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but Ahso thinks I'm flirting with him and now this.

I think it has less to do with a misjudging of attachment size and more to do with overblowing the image and then attaching it innocently as if you didn't know it was a misrepresentation of reality.

You silly little man ... I did it for the exact reason that Bryn has stated. I have only lately began to post images on FG and after a couple of months of doing so, I came to the conclusion (without any prompting from anyone in Admin) that I was taking up too much space on the Home page.
My "obscure posts" as you put it, can at least be considered posts, unlike your dismal output. I have neither a reason to, nor the desire to "push up my post count" either as this is automatically taken care of firstly by my own output and secondly by the imterest among most members in what I post.
You have now asked. Now go play with your polls and get out of my cyber-hair!

Ah Bruv ... I think you are lonely, I really do. Or else why would you continually stalk my threads with your tongue pushed so firmly into your cheek? :-3
Tell you what, shall I write you a poem? I shall call it "Ode To Bruv." :wah:
Do you like lemon curd? Do you know what lemon curd is. I'm sure you do and if not you can Google. Let me know about the poem!

First little....now lonely.
Look here I am trying to wean myself off your 'Trivia Lite' type threads, not that I am opposed to trivia or light heartedness, but I think your's are so saccharine coated I would be in danger of diabetes setting in.

Okay ... Consider yourself weaned then. Pity you turned down my offer of a poem though. It would have been worth a mint after my death!
