Do You Get an Annual Physical Xam?

And if you do, does it include a CBC (Complete Blood Count)?

Many people never go to the Dr. for a annual checkup because they feel well and are not sick. BIG MISTAKE.

I am alive today because of very early detection of of two medical conditions that if let undetected and untreated would have taken me out years ago. The CBC was the thing that caught the problem rather than the poking and prodding of the physician.

Has your doctor every checked your triglycerides? That is another one left unchecked that will cause problems.

Yes, tri along with a Complete Metobolic Panel,Cardiac Stress Test etc. CMP

You are so right Lon. Many people simply go thru life believing they are perfectly healthy simply because they avoid going to their GP for a physical. I have two family members, both male who kept their heads buried in the sand this way and who kept insisting that they had "nothing at all wrong with them."

One has just been diagnosed with prostrate cancer and the other has a cholestrol count that is off the top of the scale.

I go for an annual check-up every June and this includes blood tests for all the dreaded deseases.
