Forumgarden Person of the Day! :)

Post by Hope6 »

Wouldn't it be nice to recognize someone each day who makes this place the nice place that it is. I'm starting this thread to do just that. Each person gets 24 hours from the next time they log on after they are picked. Before you log off at the end of your special day, it is your job to choose who will be our special person for the next day and on and on. :)

It's not just about picking your friends.....it's about choosing someone who makes a positive contribution to the garden.

Now I've got a couple of rules.......Number one.....this is a positive thread so no bashing of the people who are picked please....if it is someone you don't like, please resist posting until someone you do like gets nominated. Number two......no bashing of the folks who do the choosing......it's their choice to pick who they want.

Okay since I am the OP I will makes the first choice and I choose JJ. :) Or jones as some here call him. As Oscar said on another thread the other day. Sometimes when you log in here, if it weren't for JJ there wouldn't be any new threads at all. He makes a valuable contribution to the garden in my opinion. :)

Okay a couple of instructions for you JJ. :) When you log back in tomorrow, you will be the person of the day, for the next 24 hours, before you log off tomorrow, please choose the person for the next day.

I would also ask you......since I can't be here that much.......if someone gets nominated who doesn't show up to pick the next person.....will you pick someone to keep the thread going? :)

This Is a lovely thread Hope.

I appreciate the amount of effort JJ puts Into finding us varied and Interesting photographs to look at.

You only have to look at the amount of views each thread gets to see how many members look.

FG would be pretty dull some days If JJ decided to have a day off.

I love the variety he offers and how he finds things that Interest me.

Okay ... my choice is along-for-the-ride. In all my time on FG she has, to the best of my knowledge, been one of the very few members who has never spoken badly of or bad mouthed anyone.

Thank you, jones jones for choosing me. My day is, alas, almost over. But I will happily accept balloons, some smooth jazz playing in the background, and popcorn.

It is difficult to choose one person as the next FG Person of the Day, but I will choose one....'cause I got to. ;)

Koan shall be tomorrows FG Person of the Day for her thought-provoking threads as well as her "off the cuff" threads. I appreciate her sharing her thoughts with us. Plus....well..she and I share the same surname. :)

OMG! Thought provoking sure... but those thoughts come with a lot of side effects. Not sure that's what this thread was intended for.

Crap.

Ok. I'm on a project right now so... if no one else wins: I nominate Snooze for being the most fun opponent I've ever had and for making me giggle even when I didn't want to.

:P

If someone else wins for the day... well at least I tried.

Okay there seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding here.....it's not a contest. It's the person who was picked the day before's job to pick the person for the next day. So Koan picked Snooze, so Snooze is the person for today. Now Snooze, it's your job to pick someone for tomorrow. :)

ME??!? (I can hear pretty much the same sentiment being echoed out there. :yh_tong2)

I tried to find the words. Here they are:

Sorry I'm so late, but I had to go out and enjoy my day, right? Mr Greeley down at the general store didn't believe me when I told him, and was a little hesitant to let me have that congratulatory six-pack. Okay, to be honest, he said I was stealing and grabbed his shotgun from behind the counter. But don't worry, I'm okay. Greeley's pretty old and not as strong as he used to be.

Ummm, so was that my day or is it starting now? Because technically, the day started hours ago for some of you. Ya know what? I've got a bit of a headache & will prolly just be lying around for awhile, so why don't I name the next person now, and he can get started, okay?

We were sharing a beer down at the train station when he got mad all of a sudden and stormed off. All I did was offer him some of my chicharones. I guess he expected me to give him the whole bag or somethin'.

He'll be fine.

I like to make the first multiple people of the day and submit all the spammers/godster posters that come across here and some that just like this place too much to leave

Mickel, Pahu, Truthbringer, XxfrodobagginsxX, Adstar, NewGod, Freeseekingtruthseeker and many many others

Despite how one-sided some of the views of people hear can be "me included" there are others out there that make us look like sensible people and I want to give them some recognition.
