Wow thanks, what a great pic, expression on all is priceless.
I have been pondering a lot lately on what lesson all our four legged friends arrive in our life to teach us

The one on the left ( Nikita) Is on her way to Crufts. She won her first proffessional dog show at just 9 months old. They and all Japanese Akita's are fearless guard dogs. The American Akita Is now a seperate breed all together and comes In a larger variety of colours.
What I find fascinating about them and In relation to your question Is that they are extremely large and boisterous dogs but can sense the weak and vulnerable. They behave far calmer around my young great nephew In the pic and his grandfather who lives with them.... he was 80 this year.
The addition of Akky on the right of the pic means puppies later this year...... hurrah :guitarist
I thought you may be Interested as breed wise, they are similar to the Husky and your breed.
