Lon, let me assure you that between creating my first youtube video, writing second drafts for an entire season on a webseries, engaging in a very serious debate on who abortion is good for, working a real life job, taking care of a teenager, trying to keep my house clean single-handedly, making sure we have enough soup, soap and toilet paper, maintaining connections with a local producer who might give me my next breakthrough in my career, counselling my kid on whether she should choose a career based on probable income or on her desire to be filmmaker and on how to deal with her resentment of a suicidally depressed father who let her down emotionally and led to fear of her own mental instability...
I don't really have time for games.

I responded to your post because I'm trying to get people to talk to each other honestly about things that are important. I'm trying to get people to stop judging each other and think about the challenges that we all face just because we are alive and we're in this thing together.

Oh, and yes, you've pissed me off recently because you write about living as if we all have the same opportunities you had when you were a lad. You write to people struggling with debt as if it's their fault for not being as smart as you are. You write as if anyone not currently knowing they can retire in comfort is a moron.

Opportunities I had as a lad? Koan, you ain't got a clue about either my youth or my life in general. Your impressions are only based on my posts. Aside from that I think you are a nice lady though a bit troubled.

My parents bought their first house for $24, 000. Today that would buy me a parking space.
10 years ago groceries averaged $10/bag now it's $25 and wages have gone down.
I expect to be able to have children, shelter and feed them, as long as I am willing to work. That's not what society is offering me in return for my labour.
Why do I take time to be online? Because when I injured my back, online was all I had and the internet helped me survive. I feel a duty to expiate.
