How Many Jobs Before Adulthood?

Post by Oscar Namechange »

Back to topic...

I also used to walk dogs for extra pocket money. A lady In our road had a whippet and one saturday afternoon I walked It up the Sussex Downs which was no mean feat. It was a good trek of around 3 miles from my home but I had ulterior motives... I wanted to see racehorse trainer Josh Gifford's race horses out on their canters.... anyway, I let this whippet off the lead and It just took off. I was mortified. I spent about an hour scouring the Downs for It and finally admitting defeat started off home, thinking all the way how I was going to explain to the lady why I had lost her precious dog. By the time I got back I was In tears ( I was about 12 years old ) only to see the damn thing sitting on her doorstep.

But I'm wondering why she couldn't have proven it, and also why she'd not consider what an uproar she would cause without providing it

The jobs that I worked before I was age 12 when both parents were together was not because of family financial need but merely to earn money for myself (no allowance). After age 12 when parents were divorced and I lived with my mother it was out of financial need since mom worked as a waitress and barely made enough to pay the rent on a one room apartment.

Are you having a laugh ?

Self explanatory I would have thought, it's a soft cooked egg, that the yolk remains liquid.

Most commonly a boiled egg....with soldiers, sliced bread/toast cut into insertable fingers to dip into shell on top off egg.

Or a fried egg that floods the plate when the yolk is broken into.

Wouldn't ever eat them any other way.

The egg producers weren't interested in the truth, proven or otherwise, just the damage to their profits - she was Health Minister and only trying to reduce risk.

You wouldn't believe what else she was up to at the time. I don't think the English as a whole have quite come to terms with it yet either.

Poached eggs are the best... cooked just enough where the whites are solid and the yolk is still runny. It's an art.

Probaby the cause of many an Englishman turning to the bottle. Just the mere thought certainly kept me awake at night and probably had gmc boaking In his porridge.

I'm still not convinced it happened. Him and her could have concocted the tale to add to their otherwise infinitesimal kudos.

If my memory serves me correctly both had books being written. Even so, I really don't think Major would have Invented something like that causing such upset to his wife and children.

Admitted? Did you not see the man's face, he was positively gloating and basking, he couldn't keep the grin from taking over.

I must end this conversation at this point. I am about to cook dinner and the mere thought of John Major getting Jiggy may ruin my appetite. It's enough to turn one's prawns.

Actually, I remember when I did the Nolan show with Edwina Currie's partner, Conservative MP for Kensington. I couldn't concentrate. Just kept thinking of him and Edwina getting Jiggy. He was banging on about crime and I just kept thinking of her naked.
