Law of Diminishing Returns
What I know is that if I start a thread I get a plus points. So far I have 17 thread starters accumulated on my account from March 12, 2012 up to the present. If each starter thread earned for me 30 points then I earned 510 points. The total number of my posts is 127 which earned for me at this point in time a total of 954 points. I see there`s a ration of approx 1:9. Meaning for every post I made I earned 9 points. However I can see that the rest have ratios say 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, or 2:1, 3:1. What does it mean? That the FG members here with ratios 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 or 2:1 , 3:1 etc have began to feel or already are the recipients of the effects on the Law of Diminishing Returns? Is it related to Murphy`s Law or Joseph Heller`s Catch 22?

Law of Diminishing Returns
In Joseph Heller`s Catch 22, the pilot was traumatized after the B52 bomber plane he flew crashed. Although he survived he vowed never to fly a B52 bomber again. So, while recuperating from his wounds, the pilot intentionally got himself a liver ailment & declared he was insane. So, he petitioned the US Military Command that he be dismissed from the service and begged never to fly a plane again. The US military Command dismissed his petition by saying that only an insane can fly a B52 Bomber plane. In other words, if this forum were a B52 Bomber plane, only insane moderators or Admin can fly it?

I think you have the numbers backwards.
Besides, there seems to be little point in posting if all you do it for is points.

I was just only curious. For example the number of your posts and the number of your points. Isn`t it for every post you make you get 4 points? Even if I do not go and see how many starter threads you made the way it looks as though you only have a few threads credited to your account.

There are a lot more factors than you have considered.
I will leave you to figure them out. Clues in the help pages.

Law of Diminishing Returns
A concept in economics that if one factor of production (number of workers, for example) is increased while other factors (machines and workspace, for example) are held constant, the output per unit of the variable factor will eventually diminish.Although the marginal productivity of the workforce decreases as output increases, diminishing returns do not mean negative returns until (in this example) the number of workers exceeds the available machines or workspace.
