System Interruption

I would like to apologise for the unexpected and so far unexplained break in service this evening (UK time). The site is currently experiencing problems with its admin, something that will be resolved soon. (The twerp has one more chance or he's out on his ear!)

UK servers suck. Never had these problems when FG was using AMERICAN servers.

I hate to say this Ahso but we're still running on AMERICAN servers :wah:

It's just the British (or would that be English/Welsh) Admin is crap

This thread has all the hallmarks of a coup d'état from moditorial apparatchiks. Their Party credentials may be impeccable but that doesn't mean they can handle life on the operational knife-edge.

The Administration apologizes for the two hour outage. An internal procedures review is in progress might report before next year. This particular event seems to have had several snowballing components but the underlying mechanisms do, I'd agree, need urgently reconstructing.

If some people think they can do better perhaps it would be a salutary lesson if they were handed the passwords and told to fix it themselves, that's what I think. Put up or shut up, madam.

It is not a cardigan, theia. One cannot re-knit a computer. Purl Three is not a package and Cast Off will not bring the system back online.
