How do i copy a home movie from a CD to Cyberlink please?

I have a home movie showing a friend who has recently died, and I want to put a home movie I have of her from a DVD onto Cyberlink Power Power Director. I am going to edit it for her mother who I said i would do this for.

I am not sure how to do this

Can someone explain how to do this? No jargon please as I am confused enough as it is.

If you already have Powerdirector, then the help menu should tell you how to copy the video from the DVD.

From the online userguide, it seems pretty simple.
