I like Lisbon, in fact, I like Portugal and the Algarve is really a cool place despite all the Brits living there.:wah:
It's my first time to Portugal and I am enjoying the food because it is so different from my usual eats.
We are on our way to Cadiz now and will be there in the AM and then tour Saville.
Set the clocks one hour ahead tonight.
Where is the warm weather?
Left Lisbon this afternoon

I love fish and I have had some grouper & sword fish in delicious sauces that were spicy, unlike anything I have eaten before.
I also ate some pork chops that we're quite different as well as some salads that were Mediteranean style, but different.

Better ask for Seville when you board the bus/plane/taxi/ satnav..........or you might get lost.

What an error on my part, and I speak Spanish too, however, my next door neighbors name in Caliifornia is Saville.

My Impressions of the Med Trip
Granted, my less than two week trip hardly makes me a expert on any of the places that I have visited, but here are a few of my observations. There isn't one single thing that I disliked. I am presently on Corsica (Ajaccio) and will be leaving in the AM for MonteCarlo. Apartments Galore!!! I have never seen so many. Big ones, small ones, multi colored, Moorish, Modern, you name it. Yes there are many individual homes but what struck me is the number of apartments. Some rented, some individually owned.*
The Euro makes things a bit pricy for us Yanks, but not unreasonably so. I am sure there is some poverty in the places I have visited ( evidenced by a few street beggers), but over all, most seem to be enjoying the good *life. If I were younger, I could live in any one of the placesI have been, with no problem.
The weather is a bit cooler than I had expected despite checking it out before hand. *I have done my best to sample the local wines, both reds and white and have not found one that I disliked, some I Iiked better than others, but then, I say that about all wines. Lots and lots of history here (something we lack in the US). *Americans on this trip are a distinct minority. *There are folks from 22 different countries, most speaking some English. My somewhat limited Spanish was helpful and my wife's Kiwi helped in communicating with Aussies and Brits.*
