The man in front of me at the post office today mailed two TIRES
somewhere for $46.43. TIRES, mind you, no rims. New. He was
even showing the little nubs still on them from being new.
WTF? I could guess that maybe it was a dad mailing them to a son
or daughter away somewhere and in need, but how the hell do
you figure that is a better option than sending a check or Pay
Pal or something else?
Postal worker completely unperturbed by the whole thing, too,
printed out and slapped a couple of stickers on 'em and away they went!

The strangest thing you've ever seen someone mail?

He could have been selling them on ebay. I mailed a cat carrier back to a crazy woman that insisted I take it even though I had brought my own to her house when I adopted her cat. It was about a half hour drive but mainly because I didn't want to see her again. She still called every week to see how the cat was doing. Lady, if you didn't trust me to give the cat a good home, why did you give her to me in the first place? That was the famous Trilby.

Hahaha...great story Val!
My dad never mailed tires to me...but he would....
....always sneak over to my house and leave me notes to tell me to call our car mechanic. When I'd call, our mechanic would tell me to get to the shop quickly as Dad just bought me 4 new tires, or an oil change, and even a new engine.
Dad's are great aren't they:-4 Wish he were still here

Yep...ebay.
I have a co-worker who sells every thing and anything on Ebay.
