Colonoscopy Anyone ?

Post by Lon »

I'm over 50 and it's been over five years since my last one and I had some benign pylops

last time, so I was due.

The procedure is a piece of cake, it's the fasting and preparation that's a real pain in the ass. :wah: Here is one of my favorite comedian's discussing the COLONOSCOPY.

Oh Thanks Lonnie.......... NOT....

I have just had one about two weeks ago.

I've had them before after nearly losing my bowel some years ago due to Adhesions... but this time I was offered a pair of what they called ' Modesty shorts'...These are a pair of short pants with a hole In the rear....

I can't praise the facilities and the staff enough for they were exceptional but I had a terrible time and now I'm waiting for a date to go under a full aneasthetic for a further probe. The sedation nor copious amounts of Pethedene didn't help me.

Like you, I had to not only fast for 24 hours but to drink litre's of a preparation called ' Clean prep' that tasted like something akin to Monkey serum.

Over fifty? well over fifty, thought you were seventy.

After your trip to Saville, I was wondering what these pylops were.....have you acquired dyspepsia?

(Dyslexia)

Well that's not very modest.

I have two first cousins diagnosed with colon cancer. Both have a history of alcohol intake & were smokers. But I guess it runs in the family. One possesses genes he/she inherited from his/her ancestors which make him/her susceptible to get cancer of the blood, pancreas, liver, lungs, breasts, colon, bone, etc.

The hole In the rear has a flap that can be secured with velcro when the hole Is not required.

I just got my draft notice ... erm, notification of eligibility. It'll be my first. A coworker just had one. They found a few benign polyps ... and a mass. Scared the bejesus out of him, since he'd just put in his retirement notice. After bloodwork, biopsies, and a CAT scan, they found nothing. Everybody at the school let out a huge sigh of relief because he's a very popular teacher, and he'll be in the graduation ceremony reading the names as he's done for the past 8 years.

I've had several colonoscopy's - the procedure is a breeze

drinking that crap prior is a killer.... I'm on a regular schedule every 2 years.!!

I'm sure you'll do fine.
