I'm sooooo proud of my 'grandson'... his first year in 4-H,
and he took second place in showmanship with his pig
(behind only a high schooler, grandson is ten), and first
place in heavyweight feeder pigs.
Best of all, at auction a local feed store paid FOUR DOLLARS
a pound for his 277 pound pig, when the others were
going for btwn. $2.75 and $3.00 per.

Well done, Wyatt. Does he have to butcher it himself too?

No, he doesn't... but he's seen his mom dress out
a deer or two, and he and dad clean their fish catch
quite frequently!

No, he actually named him "Charm" for some unknown reason.
I did raise a feeder calf one time that I named "Sir Loin",
even wrote it on the gate to his pen!!
