Team Great Britain.
I have to admit that I am surprised at the awesome showing of Team GB at the London Olympics. I have to say that I for one didn't expect them to make such an impact. Of course we could say that its like "home ground" advantage that has made the difference, but I don't think so. They would probably done just as well anywhere in the world.
Well done Team GB! :-6:-6:-6

I think home advantage does have some merit. It must add to the rush of adrenylin when 80,000, mostly British voices call your name when entering the proverbial home straight. Having said that, we performed nearly as well in Bejing. The investment in our athletes has, I think, been money well spent.
The French attitude to our success in the velodrome was hilarious. Talk of tainted victories due to cheating. The wheels used, come from a French manufacturer. I've no idea where the French are getting theirs

Thanks JJ.
I have to say that I am also Impressed given the amount of medals, entrants and entrants In comparison to the USA and China, we are a very proud nation right now.

And the opening ceremony was the best I have ever seen. I will never again listen to "Chariots of Fire" without seeing Mr. Bean tapping away at that grand piano!

The opening ceremony was stunning. Breathtaking in its inventiveness. I was a little worried that it might be construed as "too British" by other nations and that they wouldnt "get it"
When the ring, during the industrial revolution section , was cast and rose to meet the other rings to form the olympic symbol, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up
