I loved them all, Beano, Dandy, Beezer, Topper, Victor. My mum used to get the Bunty delivered every Tuesday and I used to read that too

Wasn't allowed them as they were reckoned bad for my English. Just read friends' copies instead.
chuckle. Did once sit next to an illustrator for The Beano on a journey by coach once back in University days. All I can remember is him telling me there was an ongoing competition among the illustrators to see how much they could get away with putting penises in the Bash St Kids strip. Smiffy and Teacher's nose are the only two I can remember.
